Peach Cobbler
Easiest peach cobbler you'll ever make. Tastiest, too. There's just nothing better than a simple Southern Peach Cobbler on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
  • 3-4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups sugar, divided
  • 1 lemon, juice only
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  1. Add 1 cup of sugar to the peaches, stir in vanilla and lemon juice and set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a 9 x 13" baking dish.
  3. Mix flour, remaining cup of sugar, milk, salt, baking powder and cinnamon. Pour over melted butter. Do not mix. Add peaches.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serve with fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
