Maple Vanilla Granola

This simple homemade granola is a perfect way to start the day.


  • 5 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla


  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix oats, sugar, salt, cinnamon, and flaxseed.
  3. In another bowl, stir together the oil, maple syrup, honey, and vanilla.
  4. Pour the honey mixture over the oats and stir together until well combined.
  5. Spread the granola mixture evenly onto prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes or until the edges begin to turn golden brown.
  7. Cool completely. Crumble granola into big chunks and small bits.
