Posting…one mess at a time

Clearly I have a toddler loose in the house while I blog.  The evidence is unmistakeable.

Sarah Toilet Paper Mess

And it’s not just Littlest that leaves trails of her whereabouts.  The older Littles have been known to leave a bread crumb or two.  You know the longer the silence the bigger the mess! I define this phenomenon as a moment of quiet = an hour of cleaning. It’s as if they feel obligated to document every minute of my brief absence.  Absence of course being defined as my attention to writing and not exclusively to them.

Girls Art Room Mess

My thoughts this morning are scattered and distracted by the messes surrounding me.  My attention being pulled and tugged in directions other than writing.  As I look at these photos of my children’s activities, I am grateful for a God who is ALWAYS present in my life. Even when I’m too busy making messes to notice He is right here.

Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished.

Meet Kristin

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.

I'm on a mission to love my neighbors. I put an ordinary picnic table in my front yard, painted it turquoise and invited neighbors, friends, and even strangers to hang out and do life together at the Turquoise Table®.

I hope you'll join us!
