I’m sharing the table with my friend Kamille today. If you are here from Kamille’s table, welcome. I’m so glad you are here.
Two years ago this week, I was gathered around a dinner table at Allume {then Relevant Conference} in Hershey, PA. A woman from across the table asked if I was @theschellcafe. You know you are at a blogging conference when people mutually greet one another by twitter handles.
The woman was my on-line friend Kamille. Tears of gratitude blurred my eyes. I had come to this conference seeking community and, like so many other women, Kamille was a part of my URL turned IRL life. Meeting @redeeming_table in real life was a gift.
Kamille and I started a conversation at the dinner table that evening that hasn’t stopped. She is passionate about the table, sharing meals in Jesus name, the ministry of hospitality, and serving others with her time, talent, and creativity in the kitchen. She is a wife and mama to three beautiful little girls. She is a friend. And, a damn good cook! One of these days I’m going to make it to Bellingham, WA to one of her cooking class.
Tomorrow, I’ll be en route to Allume where I’ll get to see Kamille. We couldn’t find our photo from that serendipitous meeting two years ago, so we’ll snap a fun shot together this week and share with you. {Kamille and I are both instagram nuts! So be sure to follow along there. . .}
In the meantime, Kamille has set a place for you at her table. Please visit and enjoy her 31 Days of Sharing the Table series. I know you’ll love her!
