As y’all know, I cherish early morning time on my prayer couch.
Today life preempted my precious prayer time and I started my pre-dawn morning helping one of the older Littles sort through some homework (meaning, I was helping him find it!). Busy finishing a social studies review at the dining room table, we scarcely noticed Littlest sleepwalking through to the kitchen where she nestled on my prayer couch and fell back asleep.
What stills my heart and causes my soul to sing is not the simple sight of my sleeping Little, or that she chose my prayer couch to resume her rest.
What completely made me stop and savor the moment were the provisions Littlest brought with her to the prayer couch.
Her pacie (I know, I know, it’s time for it to go!),
her sippy cup,
and her Bible.
Wherever life takes you today, be encouraged that your actions will indeed speak louder than your words.
Love,

What a great joy! So precious . . . and what a perfect place to rest – in the arms of Love!
Also, I couldn’t help but notice your book “Common Prayer”. I love mine – such a peaceful time in the morning reading it.

How lovely! I love how she has learned from you the importance of mornings with her Jesus by spending time in her Bible. The fact that she sleep walked there…speaks of how much a part of her that love for time with God…to be like Mama…is!
Great job Mom!!!!

This is absolutely adorable! Thank you for the reminder that our actions speak louder than our words. I am often reminded that it’s great to have my own prayer time with the Lord, but my kids also need to “see” me doing this. When their older, I hope those memories are burned into their mind so that they too will make it a practice to snuggle up with the Lord. Thanks for sharing!

and that’s the right way of being a parent.. there must be prayer warriors in the ‘home’ to make it strong and stay as a ‘home’…cute post!

What kids see in their parents, surely they do also. I like reading books and that is what my kids see so they too love books and got lots of it. It is very touching to see your kid carry her bible in your couch (as what she always see in you) , for sure she will grow as a God fearing kid.

Hello. I wanted to give you a note to verbalize my thankfulness. I have been watching your blog posts for a month and have got a ton of excellent tips and appreciated the way you have built your web site. I’m going to make my blog however I feel it is too general and I need to concentrate more on particular issues.
