BRAT Diet

This page may contain affiliate links.

If you’ve ever had children with the stomach bug, chances are your pediatrician has prescribed The BRAT Diet.

Bananas

Rice

Applesauce

Toast

Perhaps the contestants on Top Chef can find some creative ways to liven up these four ingredients.  But, its beyond my culinary imagination.  Then again, I’m also on the BRAT diet so perhaps my thinking cap is not on straight.

The Schell Cafe will resume as soon as it can safely add more ingredients back into the house!

Aww, I hope you all feel better soon!!! Try smashing up the bananas onto the toast, maybe?for some variety.

    SO SORRY.
The bison chili was yummy…probably sounds gross to you right now!
    Get well soon!

Make some Arborio rice – to get a risotto like consistency. Mash the bananas, mix them with the rice. Get a large ramekin, put some slices of toast at the bottom, sprinkle with a bit of apple juice, fill with the banana and rice cream and bake it.

You can add a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg to the cream – those spices will do no harm to your diet.

    What do you think?

    Get well soon.

Meet Kristin

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.

I'm on a mission to love my neighbors. I put an ordinary picnic table in my front yard, painted it turquoise and invited neighbors, friends, and even strangers to hang out and do life together at the Turquoise Table®.

I hope you'll join us!
