Sitting around the Turquoise Table, gabbing about life with neighbors or friends, always provides for interesting conversation. Sometimes we know what we are talking about — more like our opinions are strong. It’s amazing how you can solve the world’s problems over a cup of coffee with girlfriends.
If we’re honest, though, we are more likely seeking input and ideas on whatever has us stuck. It’s amazing how we help each other process problems — not solving them by offering dime-store psychology or knee jerk answers — but by listening. When we do want to consult an expert, it doesn’t take long before we mention a credible resource, usually a book we’ve read and are dying to recommend.
Which made me think we read a lot, and talk even more, about books at the Turquoise Table. It occurred to me if my neighbors and I are enjoying certain books, maybe you and your people would, too. (Rocket science, right here folks).
So, here’s the deal. I’m going to give away some of my current favorite books.
For the next FIVE Fridays, I will be hosting a giveaway series! I’m going to give away five different books that have helped me in the adventure of loving my neighbors at the Turquoise Table.
These books are written by some incredible people who will challenge you, encourage you, inspire you, and give you some practical tips and tools to get to know and love on your neighbors in extravagant ways.
Up first is “How to Love Your Neighbor Without Being Weird” by my friend Amy Lively. Simply click on the Rafflecopter link below and follow the instructions to enter. On Monday I will announce the winner and send one lucky reader a copy of this fabulous book.
Be sure to share the giveaway with your friends and neighbors. I’m excited thinking about you gathering at your Turquoise Table reading these books.
And, who knows? If y’all enjoy this Freebie Friday Book Giveaway maybe we’ll make it a “thing”.
Happy Friday!
