Market Monday: Bouquet of Spoons

This page may contain affiliate links.

It’s a wonder I have such an affinity for wooden spoons considering my upbringing. My siblings and I were routinely tortured — tortured I tell you! — with a particular wooden spoon. In her infinite wisdom (or perhaps an act of sheer desperation), Mia drew a smiley face on the front side of a wooden spoon. On the flip side was the dreaded frown. When my siblings (or occasionally myself) acted up, Mia grabbed the spoon off the top of the refrigerator and flashed the frown face. The warning was clear, and the threat of the spoon ever meeting one of our behinds was enough to make us clean up our acts.

Many moons have passed since those wooden spoon years and today I am proud to say I have a new and improved relationship with the essential kitchen staple. You and yours will love these wooden spoons. Give the cook in your life a bouquet that will last. I know I would love to find a dozen of my favorite wooden spoons bundled up with a fancy bow under the tree this year.

You can find my favorite French Wood Mixing Spoons at www.cheftools.com or look for them at your local kitchen shop too. I have several in each size ranging from 14″ – 18″.  Mix it up and order a few of the luxurious Beechwood spoons too.

If you are looking for a bigger splurge add a Boos Maple Cutting Board to the bouquet. I’m not sure how I ever made it without my beloved cutting board. I have the 20″ x 15″ and it’s quite the workhorse. The cutting board (available at Williams-Sonoma) will knock your favorite cook’s socks off. I promise.

I hope these Market Monday gift ideas make your holiday shopping easier. Happy Cyber Monday!

Love,

Meet Kristin

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.

I'm on a mission to love my neighbors. I put an ordinary picnic table in my front yard, painted it turquoise and invited neighbors, friends, and even strangers to hang out and do life together at the Turquoise Table®.

I hope you'll join us!
