About this time of year friends start asking what I’ll be serving for Thanksgiving. At the top of the most-requested recipes are Cranberry-Jalapeno Salsa and Gene Stallings’ Twice Baked Potatoes. I’ve posted all our favorite Thanksgiving Day recipes before, but here they are in one place. You can also also browse through the Holiday Favorites category which lists the archives of Schell Family food traditions.
Turkey
(between travel & football schedules there’s just no time to cook a bird this year!)
Gene Stallings’ Twice Baked Potatoes
Pecan Pie
(I’m making a Chocolate Pecan Pie too this year for my Mother in Law!)
Other family members will contribute green beans, spinach salad, pumpkin pie and I’m sure there will be other favorites I’ve overlooked. On a whim, Mia and I will no doubt add something new to our list of favorites too. I’m working on a Roasted Butternut Squash dish. Each year always brings a surprise or two to the table. And, I’ll be tweaking these recipes to make them all deliciously gluten-free too!
I’m so excited for you! (And I may steal some of your recipes…maybe :). So blessed by your friendship sweet friend 🙂
Thank you Brooke.
Kristin! Lovely recipes! I must try some. So have you got a hold of any brown rice syrup yet & tried it out? I want to hear a review before i buy some. Does WF carry it?
Sarah – I have tried brown rice syrup. It’s worked great as a substitute for sugar/honey/agave in several recipes. You should come over and borrow my bottle.
