My Very Own Sous Chef

I get asked a lot of questions about The Schell Cafe.  As you can imagine, most of the questions are cooking related.  But time and time again people wonder how I find time to cook with four children.  Truth be told, it never occurred to me that I had an option.  Making dinner is just one of my daily joys and I’m so passionate about everything food related that I naturally assumed the rest of the world shared my obsession.

As with everything in life, some days are more challenging than others.  But with the help of my sous chef, dinner is generally pulled off without a hitch.

That picture is SO cute and brings back memories of my twin daughters on both sides of the stove with the cabinets open pulling out everything, sitting on the kitchen floor while I cooked. Sometimes they’d each get IN the cabinets and play peek a boo – looking for their sister when they opened up the door. I really miss those days. Enjoy every minute. I didn’t know there was an option either!!

What else are you supposed to do? Stuff ’em with over-processed, over-preserved junk? Lucky kids:):)

Meet Kristin

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.

I'm on a mission to love my neighbors. I put an ordinary picnic table in my front yard, painted it turquoise and invited neighbors, friends, and even strangers to hang out and do life together at the Turquoise Table®.

I hope you'll join us!
