Tomatoes!!!

Remember I gave Husband a garden for Valentine’s Day? Well, the first fruits of his labor are finally here. Husband picked these jewels this morning.

Guess what we are having for dinner? Tomatoes with basil, salt & pepper.  If we decide to get fancy I might even add a drizzle of olive oil.

What is your favorite way to enjoy garden fresh tomatoes?

    A White Trash Sandwich

    Crusty White Bread
    Miracle Whip (really)
Your tomatoes (hint-hint) (mine are still growing!)
    Basil
    Sea Salt

I’m with Mia, though I like it on sourdough bread, with regular mayo and a few slices of onion.

The key is the sea salt. Makes all the difference.

I love to roast the tomatoes topped with salt, olive oil, vinegar, fresh thyme and goat cheese! Yum!

Looks wonderful! I like them with in Caprese Salad with fresh mozzarella, basil, salt, olive oil and a splash of balsamic. Mmmmm. My tomatoes aren’t growing fast enough. I think the heat will keep them from setting blooms. When did you get yours in the ground and how big were they?

Paula, Tony’s sister would cut them in half, sprinkle some salt, pepper and breadcrumbs and bake them on a cookie sheet. When they came out of the oven, sprinkle some parmesan cheese!

Meet Kristin

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.

I'm on a mission to love my neighbors. I put an ordinary picnic table in my front yard, painted it turquoise and invited neighbors, friends, and even strangers to hang out and do life together at the Turquoise Table®.

I hope you'll join us!
