It’s cold, really cold this morning. So I broke out my favorite long sleeved t-shirt which I’ve had for years. It’s from Geronimo in Santa Fe, one of my favorite restaurants. As I snuggled into my beloved warm and worn shirt I entered a reverie about the wonderful meals I’ve had in places near and far. This of course made me wonder what’s your favorite restaurant? Give me your top 10 list if you can’t narrow it down to just one. I know I can’t.

Here in Austin it used to be Castle Hill Cafe…we’re very sad it closed, and we miss the Fried Goat Cheese with Tomato Chutney. Yum.

You are so right for asking for ten! I could never pick one. But if I had to it would be The Eveready Diner. Delicious anything you want can be found here. Some of my other faves are Romanelli’s, Margarita’s, Tacoland, and Chen Young.

I live in a land without many options … but when I am in the States everything appeals to me and I struggle to try new places so I will be watching with interest to see what others say. I still love PF CHangs — which I know is lame because it is a chain — but still.

I am still thinking of this one: but here are a few (on my college budget):
side note: I don’t like cookie cutter places… i stick to locally owned for the most part!
Miltos (mediterranean on guadalupe across from toy joy)
Chuys – you know
Longhorn Po’boys – Medical arts and dean keeton
Mother’s Garden – 45th (?) and duval
Kyoto’s sushi happy hour – Congress
Hoovers – only when I want something so deliciously evil that makes me feel guilty for a week – Nerd’s favorite, he could eat it everyday…
Kerbey Lane – i love the seasonal menu. always YUM!
to be continued…
