When was the last time you received a special gift? This weekend I was at the Allume Conference in South Carolina where I got to see many dear friends, all of whom I’ve met via this little old blog! One friend gave me a jar of homemade pear & chocolate jam. Another brought a bottle of apple cider vinegar from her local farmer’s market. These gifts meant the world to me. My friends spoke my love language and their thoughtfulness expressed love and gratitude. Simple gifts mean so much.
Give a small gift today. Give a jar of homemade jam wrapped in a bow to your child’s teacher. Take a grande latte to the coach after practice. Or, encourage a friend who is going through a hard time with the gift of a devotional or prayer journal.
Make your gift extra special by using these gift tags we created just for you.

Challenge Option: Get together with friends and make gifts that meet a greater need. Deliver care packages to children in the hospital or organize a shoe box party with Operation Christmas Child.

This exercise in DARES has been more rewarding to me than perhaps even to those I have taken the challenge to!
Thank you for pushing me out of my comfort zone and encouraging me to serve others in what has brought great joy to me.
