You can’t begin to imagine the sweet frenzy I enjoyed last night. I was invited by my friend Lulu to a private cooking demonstration hosted by chef extraordinaire Katie Chafizadeh and Texas Culinary Academy Chef Evan Morgan. For hours we oohed, ahhed, tasted and learned while Evan and Katie delighted us with their teachings. In a few short hours Chef Evan showed us how to delight friends and family with Napoleons, Pate a Choux, Pastry Cream, Bread Pudding Souffle with Whiskey Sauce and Baked Alaska.
Are you in a sugar coma yet? I am. It may take a day or two to recover from the wine sweet treats.
I’m delighted to have these fancy treats in my repertoire as they are sublime. I’ll be posting the recipes and my own attempts to recreate these fancy treats over the next few days leading up to Valentine’s Day. How sweet is that?!?!

I’ve never eaten Baked Alaska. Everything looks so scrumptious! Can’t wait to see your creations!!

Humm? I would put in a request for some scrumptious, but that might be presumptious!

I had SO MUCH FUN!!! If only I’d taken pictures of you from across the room, waving at me charmingly. 🙂
