One hour. You’d think it wouldn’t be such a big deal, but we are still adjusting to the time change around here. My 5 am internal clock was most unwelcome at 4 am the last two days. Oy vay.
I’m keeping things simple in the kitchen this week. Using my sous chef to do the work – my beloved crock pot.
Fall Back Favorite
One of our favorite crockpot meals is sesame chicken. The Littles love the sweet and tangy chicken piled high on sesame flavored rice. I love knowing we’ll have a yummy meal without putting in much elbow grease. Now, if we just had a remedy for doing dishes!

Does your family have a hard time adjusting to Daylight Savings Time? Please tell me we are not alone. . .

We have a family favorite around here – honey sesame chicken. I don’t know the exact recipe. I just throw the ingredients in and let it cook. (Confession: my recipe uses ketchup instead of tomato paste!)
I prefer standard time to DST, so I’m always happy to set the clocks to back in the fall. My body never adjusts to DST.

This sounds delicious! I need a new crock pot as mine was broken on a Boy Scout camping trip 🙂
I seriously think my animals are having a hard time with the time change. What is up with that?!

I have a trick that helps me with time changes, but I don’t have children or pets. In Spring I set the clocks ahead after breakfast so I have all day to get my head into the new time. In Fall I set the clocks back in my bedroom just before bed and the rest of the house on Sunday after church.

That’s breakfast on Saturday in Spring…
